Mélissandre Monatus
Mélissandre Monatus is a marketing and communication professional from the Video Game industry with more than 15 years of experience. She worked for major publishers at an international level, including 8 years in London (Activision, Capcom, Wargaming...), then for indie studios.
In 2018 and 2019, she promoted African studios and their video games through the “Africa Corner”, at international conventions, as the Paris Game Week, Devcom, Game Connection, in addition to working on the largest Video game and Esport event in West Africa, the “FEJA”.
Since 2019, she has been working as a lecturer in higher education institutions specializing in Esport, Video Game development and business management. In 2021, she created with Muriel Tramis and Mickaël Newton the first edition of the “Koumbit du Jeu Vidéo” in order to promote Afro-Creole professionals in the Video Game industry.
Since September 2021, she has also stepped into Web3 with gaming companies looking to embrace the blockchain technology.
What will Mélissandre’s presentation be about ?
Mélissandre will present the ecosystem of the creation of video games in Africa (schools, associations, events,…): to demonstrate what’s available and to stimulate collaboration with other studios and schools from Belgium and other regions of the world.
